Stanney Fields Park

Stanney Fields Park has been transformed from a run down and under used open space into a vibrant, popular and diverse community resource. The park's active Friends group continues to grow with an established events programme and 100 members. Regular liaison takes place between the council and park users regarding ongoing development, site management and maintenance of the park.

The park is home to a local bowling club, there are regular sports activities on the multi games court throughout the year and a local church runs a weekly Street Cage Soccer sessions during the winter for young people. The friends organise a programme of community activities during the summer season.

The day to day management of the site is strongly linked to the Green Flag criteria ensuring standards are maintained.

The park is promoted via a number of ways, there is a specific leaflet for the park which is distributed by Cheshire West and Chester and the Friends group. Information and events are advertised on the council's website . Event publicity is displayed in the 6 notice boards located within the park, one of which belongs to the friends group.
Events are promoted in local press by the circulation of press release's.
