Edge Hill University Campus

Edge Hill University is a modern vibrant and developing University set in West Lancashire and for the eighth year running has been awarded Green Flag status, the national benchmark for parks and green spaces in the UK - for maintaining an attractive, safe and welcoming campus.

The University has been voted the best University in the country by its peers , successfully achieving the Time Education Award for 2014/2015.

The award supports the University’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its activities, maintaining natural habitats through its commitment to biodiversity, and developing a sustainable campus for the enjoyment of students, staff and the local community.

The campus landscape has a variety of environments from traditional soft and hard landscaping, together with sports facilities of the highest standard, an abundance of trees, wetlands and lakes surrounded by fauna and flora.
In addition, 80 acres of new sports facilities were completed in December 2015, these include athletics track, rugby, hockey and football pitches together with a new sports pavilion, sports hall, gym and swimming pool.

The University campus has become a popular local attraction for thousands of visitors each year who come along for open days, conferences and guests lectures, as well as to use its community sports complex and the popular Arts Centre.
