The Gardens comprise of formal lawns, extensive floral bedding displays, herbaceous planting and shrubbery to provide greater habitat value and diversity with mature trees. There are two ornamental pools, one with fish. The gardens have many fine statues including the York House Water Gate that dates from the early 1600's. During the summer there are concerts.
