It’s time to pick the world's favourite Green Flag Award parks!

Help us find the world's favourite Green Flag Award parks by voting for yours in the People’s Choice Awards 2020

This year, more than ever, we have all come to understand just how important it is to have a great park or green space on our doorstep.

They have been a place to escape to, to meet friends in, to exercise in or simply to have a quiet moment in.

Thanks to the tireless work of parks staff and volunteers around the world, this year a record-breaking 2,228 parks and green spaces have been given a Green Flag Award so far - the international quality mark for parks and green spaces.

Now, to celebrate our fantastic parks the public is being asked to vote for their favourite award-winning parks.

You can find details of all the Green Flag Award winners at  To vote for your favourite, simply find it on the Award winners’ map, open the park's profile page and click the vote button.

Once you’ve voted, why not encourage others to get involved too? Use #GreenFlagAward & #GFApeopleschoice as well as @GreenFlagAwdInt (Twitter) and @greenflagaward (Instagram)

Voting closes on November 25th 2020

In December Keep Britain Tidy and it's network of Green Flag Award national operators will announce the top parks from around the world, as well as the top parks by individual country.

Carl McClean, International Development Manager for the Green Flag Award said

“This year, probably more than ever, we have all come to understand the importance of our precious parks and green spaces and to value those that have been a lifeline for us in difficult times."

“The People’s Choice Award is your chance to show how much your favourite park means to you. Make your voice heard and vote now.”

Last year saw tens of thousands of people voting for their favourite parks, with winners coming from around the world including The Netherlands, Portugal, United Arab Emirates, Ireland, Germany and of course the UK where the Award originated and which boasts the most Green Flag Award winners of any country.

Any park or green space that is publicly accessible and free to enter is eligible to apply and the program welcomes applications from new countries every year.
