Linslade Wood

Linslade Wood rises to new heights! A coming together of community groups, a local authority and a charitable trust who all work together to enable everyone to enjoy this beautiful piece of greenspace. The wood is open to all to come and enjoy from the blue sheets of bluebells in spring, birdsong and picnics in summer to the woodland colour in autumn and architectural splendour in winter. Wildlife abounds here and red kites wheel overhead, sparrowhawks zip through the undergrowth, badgers and bats haunt the summer dusks, warblers sing the summer mornings away and butterflies flit along the woodland rides.

People work together to make the wood even better for all of us and the varied wildlife and the value of the site as a precious local jewel shines ever more strongly.

The partners involved in this inspiring partnership are the Friends of Linslade Wood (FOLW), Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) and the Greensand Trust (GST).
