Victoria Common

Victoria Common is located in the Northfield Ward approximately 6 miles south of Birmingham City Centre. This urban green space is an important contrast to the built up nature of the adjacent Town Centre Shopping Area and adjoining residential areas.
The park covers an area of 21.71 acres (8.79 hectares) and was opened to the public in 1897.
Getting there from the city is via A38 Bristol Road. There is a pedestrian access next to the multi-storey car park for the indoor shopping centre. The main vehicular access and parking is off Church Road, with pedestrian access off all adjoining residential roads.
The park is open 365 days a year including the car park. Each access into the park is gated and these are locked daily at dusk.
Facilities at the park include: refurbished children’s play area, a range of outdoor gym equipment, a multi-use games area, tennis courts, football pitches, picnic garden area, circular path network including measured way-marked 2km healthy walk route and extensive areas of grass for informal recreation.
