Hall Leys Park

Hall Leys Park is in the heart of Matlock adjacent to the River Derwent. It covers nearly 4 hectares and is framed by an avenue of mature lime trees. The sunken garden is a popuar area of the park with its ornamental bedding display throughout the year. There are also fine views of the surrounding countryside

It provides a range of play and sporting facilities, including the popular wet and dry play area and skate park. A few years ago a MUGA, table tennis tables and orienteering course were added to the list of activities.

The historic features of the park, the bandstand and the clock tower (former tram shelter) have been retained and restored to their former glory.

The park hosts numerous events and activities throughout the year and is an attraction amongst locals and visitors to the area.
