Red House Park
Red House Park in Great Barr, West Bromwich is an essential local amenity. It consists of playing fields, where football is particularly prevalent particularly for local children, woodland walks, a very popular children’s play area, two lakes and a recently restored Victorian House that has been converted to luxury apartments.
The Red House dates to the 1700s (perhaps earlier) and has had a number of functions in its long history. The surrounding area was opened as Park Land in 1929, and has seen numerous features added to it over the last 90 years.
The Park has a very committed Friends Group who have been the driving force behind recent improvements to the Park, the Friends group host many events and activities.
