Marina Gardens
We aim to embrace the history and style of a 1930’s traditional town garden but in a sustainable and modern context. This will shape the management and development of all aspects of Marina Gardens in the future.
By building on the foundations already in place, and by demonstrating a desire to continuously improve both the management of the park and our working relationships with the local community; our vision is to create a safe, diverse and vibrant park which is a source of pride for local people.
We will create a stimulating environment where the needs of both users and wildlife are considered in equal measure and for the benefit of all. This environment will allow people from all walks of life and different generations the chance to escape from the stresses of modern life, and the opportunity to learn from and interact with their surroundings.
Our vision is to achieve a Green Flag Award for this valuable park at the heart of the local community for the enjoyment and pleasure of residents and visitors alike. We will promote and manage the Park with consideration for its cultural, historic and ecological value so that future generations can enjoy it. We will use the Park as a key platform to engage users in order to raise awareness of the importance and potential of green space within the district.
