Collaborators
When it comes to resident participation and cooperation with all kinds of social partners, Máximapark has been known for years as a 'forerunner'. In order to better facilitate this and give further shape to this, the Executive Board issued a Board assignment on 25 March 2015 entitled 'Máximapark: from participation to collaboration'.Under the leadership of a municipal and social quartermaster, the municipality and the social partners – the Vlinderhof, the Bosspeeltuin, Utrecht Natural, Landscape Management Vleuten-De Meern, the Friends of the Máxima Park and enthusiastic citizens in a personal capacity – have worked intensively on a public-social Park organization for the Máxima Park. The development of the Park Organization has been greeted with approval and enthusiasm in all forums. The Park organization Máximapark was subsequently launched in September 2016.The complete memorandum on the establishment and operation of the Park Organization can be downloaded from the website of the municipality of Utrecht or can be requested from the Park Secretariat at the Wijkservicecentrum in Vleuten. On the basis of this memorandum, the Executive Board has decided to launch the Park Organization as an experiment in a new and more intensive collaboration between the municipality, social organisations, companies and residents of the municipality of Utrecht.
About Máximapark
The Máxima Park is a special park on the west side of Utrecht, between Leidsche Rijn, Vleuten and De Meern. The park is both lively and relaxing – and almost as big as the city center of Utrecht! Volunteers play a major role in the management, programming, development and communication of the park. Below you can read more about the various organizations and volunteers that are active in and for the park.
