The Green Flag Award is proud to announce that we are sponsoring the Landscape Institute's Awards 2021. Specifically the 'Landscape and Parks Management' award category. The sponsorship forms part our celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Green Flag Award this year.

The Landscape Institute Awards are all about celebrating people, place and nature, and the myriad ways that landscape projects can connect them.

The transformative power of landscape is never more important than in times of crisis. Building on the success of the 2020 Landscape Institute Awards, the 2021 awards will do more than ever before to celebrate the exceptional contribution of landscape designers, managers, planners, researchers and more across the world.  The awards consist of;

  • 15 redesigned Professional category awards, covering all aspects of practice
  • 5 Open category awards, for landscape professionals anywhere to enter
  • Building with Nature Award
  • Reduced entry fees for most awards, with an additional £30 off for Landscape Institute members who are sole traders or who work in the public sector.

The Landscape Institute is offering a discount on entry to all Green Flag Award winning parks that meet this year's requirements for the 'Landscape and Parks Management' category.

The 'Landscape and Parks Management' category celebrates excellence in the management of existing landscapes, including parks.  This must be demonstrated through a written plan or strategy, or evidencable outcome. The management approach could be cross-cutting, seeking to improve outcomes across a range of ecosystem services, or it could be a targeted intervention on an individual aspect.  The project should seek to maximise value for people place and nature.

To make use of the £30 discount on the entry fee, please use discount code AWARDSPS30.

As an Open Category, Landscape and Parks Management recognise the exceptional work of individuals, organisations, employers, government, university or a combination of these groups.

The Landscape Institute Awards extends the entry deadline for one more week in order to allow participants who register the last minute to complete and perfect their entry. A new deadline for the LI Awards submission is 15 July 2021, 23:59 (BST).
