South Park

South Park is a Victorian/Edwardian park situated in Ilford close to the borders of Barking and Dagenham. This park holds a variety of features which create a wide reaching all inclusive park.

The resident Friends group South Park User Group have in partnership with Vision and the London Borough of Redbridge have completed numerous projects in the park including the restoration of the old boathouse which is now a friends managed, visitor and wildlife education centre.

This bolsters the fact the South park is a green space for the community and a haven for a variety of flora and fauna,whilst still providing recreational facilities.

The park boasts three playgrounds, an outdoor gym, sports pavilion, bowls pavilion and green public toilets, along side formal horticultural and conservation features.
