Manor Heath Park & Jungle Experience

Manor Heath Park Jungle Experience & walled Garden is a must see Green flag and Yorkshire in Bloom Gold Award winning park. Situated high in the Pennines above Halifax the park features Open spaces for games and events, a woodland walk & wild flower areas. Picnic tables, a paddling pool as well as modern children’s play area for all abilities and a newly re- opened cafe and outdoor patio area.
The Jungle Experience is a tropical oasis containing Fish Terrapins and different features such as The TIME ZONE a time line of plants that were around in dinosaur times, up to a 2010 Hydroxonium. Also featured are The Savage Garden, Orchid wall and famous Butterfly house and water features.
The Walled Garden includes many features and demonstration gardens with ideas for you to copy in your own garden. Under construction in 2010 is a sensory garden which will include fragrances, sounds, tactile plants and plants with visual impact, a must see for everyone.
There is a Jungle Experience and park trail with storyboards explaining the history and features of the Manor Heath estate.
Open 7 days a week 10am to 4pm there is something for everyone wet or dry, hot or cold young and old. The whole site is wheelchair friendly and the newly refurbished toilets include disabled and baby changing facilities.
