Jokipuisto
Riverside Park is located at the southern end of Kymijoki River's Korkeakoski branch alongside Urheilukatu Street.
The park's handsome granite walls, ponds with water-lilies, and splendid flower beds form a marvellous wholeness. The paved paths enable totally obstruction-free access to the area. The park is part of the Jokiranta riverside, which is 2.5 km in length; most of the riverbank strip will remain in its natural state.
Riverside Park is a wonderful place to have a picnic in. The granite picnic tables and barbecue facilities are there for all to use free of charge.
The work of art by Antti Maasalo entitled "Alkulähteellä" (At the Source) was unveiled in connection with the official opening of the park.
