Eastwoods Park

Eastwood park has existed since 1919 as a sporting facility and even after West Wylam Pit closed in 1961 the park has continued to be central to the sporting life of the area.
Friends of Eastwood Park worked with Northumberland County Council to renovate the old bowls pavilion and open it as a community hub in 2019, this builds on the new play area installed in 2017 and renovation of the seating and Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) in 2018. There have been a lot of improvements to park buildings and planted areas in recent years, with plans for more works yet to come. This has resulted in a vibrant open space which is a great resource for visitors and locals.
