Headstone Manor Park

Headstone Manor Park is a key greenspace within the London Borough of Harrow. Covering 23hectares, the park was developed in the 1920s on a historic manor that dates back to the 13th century. Headstone Manor is a nationally significant Scheduled Monument, home to four historic listed buildings and a 14th century moat.

The park was restored in 2021 following a £3m grant award from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the GLA . The investment was used to restore the landscape setting of the historic buildings and moat, enhance biodiversity, and improve the conveyancing of the Yeading Brook that runs through the park. Additional funding from the EA, TW and TRFCC saw the construction of a flood alleviation scheme to reduce flooding and pollution in Harrow and downstream in the Crane catchment. A celebration event held in September 2021, marked the culmination of the project.

The park offers a welcoming, safe space and is an asset for the local community and wildlife. It is loved and well used and offers a wide range of recreational opportunities and diverse learning experiences for everyone. Facilities include sports pitches, play area, gym, outdoor learning area, tennis courts, picnic spaces, car parks, café, toilets, Headstone Manor and Museum, heritage and nature trails, interpretation, an orchard and wetlands.

The park benefits from a dedicated volunteer group who work with the Council, to help maintain and promote the park, and host a range of events and activities including nature walks, Qigong, and the Headstone Village Show.
