Keskuspuisto Parainen

Pargas Centralpark – Paraisten Keskuspuisto is a town park, a 10 hectares piece of paradise located at the green heart of the township of Parainen in Southwest Finland. The park incorporates the elements of the surrounding archipelago. It is located on both sides of the narrows bisecting the town centre, and the widening part of which, the so called "Church Pond", forms the focal point of the park.

The sea is the main theme of the whole park. Here you can find the surrealistic artwork of Stefan Lindfors called Lucius Alienus which incorporates a slide for smaller visitors; here, too, The Sea Dragon, a work of land art by Daniel Falck, winds its way through layered, diverse planting at the Centris Adventure Golf.

In the Pargas Centralpark you find facilities for the whole family: the central playground, multi use games area, places for picnic, sports grounds (Beach Volleyball, Beach Handball, outdoors gym, Boccia, DiscGolf), café and toilets (at the Adventure Golf), and plenty of places for just relaxing or taking a stroll in peace and quiet among the beautiful vegetation. A lot of events are organized in the park especially during the summer months, and November brings with it the weeks of light art. One of the newest parts of the park is a trial grounds for Hydrangea paniculata cultivars open for public. It is an international collaboration between the Parainen township and the Euro Trials network.

The park is accessible and easy to reach by boat, bicycle, car, walking, and by bus. It is open 24/7 and the entry is free.
