Llanferres Playing Field

Llanferres park and children’s playground has participated in the ‘Green Flag Scheme’ now operated by the ‘Keep Britain Tidy’ organisation for the past 6 years, and has been judged to have achieved the high standard required for gaining the ‘Green Flag - Community Award’. The achievement of this prestigious award for the 6th year running is a great honour for the Llanferres Playing Fields Association and is testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole Llanferres community in maintaining the facility.

Llanferres park is a valuable amenity within the village of Llanferres providing a safe location for local children to play and is used extensively by the Llanferres school as well as children’s holiday clubs and families from other communities within the locality. The facility also caters for community events and provides space for picnicking and BBQing encouraging family use when the weather is right.

The Llanferres Park is funded and maintained entirely through the efforts of the local community. The Playing Fields Association would like to thank all who have helped and contributed to the project over the past 15 years and that we can continue to enjoy the help and support from local people and businesses in the future.

We welcome new supporters of our community park and offer an ‘Honouree’ membership scheme to those who use and enjoy the park and would like to contribute to the running of the park with donations. Honouree members will be advised by email of park activities and events.
