Corstorphine Hill LNR Community Walled Garden

Corstorphine Hill LNR and Community Walled Garden are very important in terms of Edinburgh's green spaces. The Friends of Corstorphine Hill have been instrumental in the development of both the LNR and Community Walled Garden over the last 23 years. The site in Edinburgh offers a wide variety in terms of biological, geological, historical and cultural significance. The site is a wonderful quiet place for young children to learn and others to enjoy.

This project was first featured on the BBC TV Beechgrove Garden programme. It is most important that the local community continue to take on ownership and a pride in the garden. It is really amazing the amount of work that has been done and the garden continues to develop and evolve with continued interest and input from the community.

Work parties are usually in action on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons throughout the year.

An information brochure, entitled Walled Woodland Walk, along with other information about the Friends is available on www.corstorphinehill.org.uk.
