Wilhelmsburger Inselpark

Inselpark is Hamburg’s most innovative and most international city park. It has lots to offer for people enjoying nature and gardens or partaking in outdoor sports.
The park is located in the borough of Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg, a large river island just south of the city centre, and is easily accessible by public transport. The borough offers a unique mix of calming greenery and international flair, with people from over 100 different nations living together.
The park was created by the international garden show 2013 (igs 2013). In 2014 the area was handed over to the city district, a park management was established and Inselpark was born.
Today the city park is a much loved attraction for people living in the neighbourhood and visitors from all over Hamburg as well as further afield. We welcome people of all ages, abilities, cultural and economic backgrounds and religious views.
