London Fields

London Fields is situated in the center of the borough and is characterised by its open grassy expanse, demarcated by stately mature London plane trees, which frame the views along its length. The park has a range of recreational facilities and is one of the most well loved features of Hackney.

London Fields is Hackney's busiest and most popular park and is well used by the community for recreation and as a green commuter route to the city. The park has two tennis courts and regular cricket matches are played in season on the Fields. The two children's playgrounds are always in use and the paddling pool is a popular attraction during the warmer months. London Fields is also the home of the refurbished lido which is hugely popular all year round.
