Eastwood Park

Eastwood Park is situated within the Hasland ward of Chesterfield in north-eastern Derbyshire. Opened in 1913, the 6 hectare park is approximately one and half miles from Chesterfield town centre and is easily accessed on foot, bicycle and by vehicle from Eastwood Park Drive in Hasland and parking is free.

In 2012 the park underwent a total restoration funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Sport England and Chesterfield borough council in time for a relaunch of the park in its centenary year.

Visitor facilities include a play area with equipment for children of all ages and abilities, an outdoor gym, community garden, bowls green, multi use games area, cricket square, garden areas, pentanque piste, village hall with a varied entertainment programme and a sports pavilion with public toilets and community room available for hire. A catering van is situated on site from March to October offering good quality drinks and fresh food and snacks. The development officer based at the site runs various events and activities over the course of the year.
