In this webinar Jane Stoneham, Director of the Sensory Trust, will be discussing how to make making parks more welcoming and accessible for disabled visitors. 

It will demonstrate the benefits of improving access and explore the diversity of disability, showcasing barriers to access and sharing practical techniques to identify and resolve them. It will share current legislation as well as tools and guidance that support good practice. The session will be framed by the Sensory Trust’s Access Chain as a way of understanding and resolving barriers to access in all stages of a visitor experience.

Jane is director of the Sensory Trust, an organisation championing accessible and engaging outdoor experiences. She leads the Trust’s strategic direction, most recently into inclusive biodiversity and climate repair. With a background in horticulture and landscape, she has developed guidance and inclusive tools to support greenspace design and management, such as Sensory Trust’s Access Chain and inclusive design toolkit.
