Durlston Country Park

If you are looking for a day out with a difference, then visit Durlston Country Park National Nature Reserve and Castle!
Durlston has something for everyone, combining activities, exhibitions, amazing wildlife and spectacular coastal scenery.
At the Castle visitor centre, see fun interactive displays, find out what’s been seen today and what you could discover. Visit the shop for souvenirs, refreshments, books and gifts.
Stroll the waymarked trails, south-west coast path, explore the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, join a guided walk or just stand and enjoy the fantastic views of Old Harry, Isle of Wight and sea.

Over 150 Events annually include Children’s trails, activities, wildlife walks, photography, orienteering, mindfulness, art and stargazing.
The Castle’s Fine Foundation Gallery has an amazing programme of exhibitions to enjoy.
We are proud that our clifftop country park won the Gold England Tourism Award For Accessibility and Inclusivity. For less mobile visitors the gentle ‘Timeline’ ramp takes you to the Castle where lifts to each level let you explore. Borrow one of the two tramper buggies or an off-road wheelchair to get out into the Park.
Alternatively, just relax and enjoy great local food and drink in our café, which offers snacks and lunches, with some of the best views in Dorset.
Durlston is also a unique and beautiful wedding, party or seminar venue and runs sessions for schools and groups.
Park and Castle entry is free – parking charges apply. Dogs are welcome on a lead or under very close control. Overnight camping is not permitted.
Durlston Castle Open Every Day: November–March 10.00am-4.00pm (except Christmas and Boxing days) and April–October 10am–5pm
