09 July 2015
Now in its ninth year, Love Parks Week is the annual
celebration of our countries' fantastic green spaces and the
community groups that bring them to life. As part of the
celebrations, there will be hundreds of events and activities
throughout the week (24 July - 2 August).
Events range from open-air theatre, to outdoor fitness
sessions; children's activities to garden parties and much more.
The diversity of events mirrors the range of uses our parks are put
to through the year, and showcase all the activities that can be
enjoyed in green spaces.
Keep Britain Tidy's Love Parks team will be launching the week
on 24 July with an event at Valentine's Mansion and Gardens in
Ilford, Essex. All are welcome to come along for this free day of
activities,
find out more or find other events closer
to you.

Love Park's manager Anthea Thomas said, "This event will
be a real celebration of parks and a fantastic kick-off event for
Love Parks Week. We are really excited about the hundreds of events
that are being organised all around the country to celebrate Love
Parks Week. And we would like to thank all the community groups,
councils and members of the public who have embraced and supported
the Love Parks campaign."
Although Love Parks Week is the largest annual celebration,
the Love Parks campaign runs year round. Love Parks supports
Friends groups, shares best practise, provides training and
resources, promotes parks, campaigns on important issues and much
more.
