Finland flies the flag for another record breaking year!
A record 12 green spaces in Finland have won the Green Flag Award in 2022!
The winners were announced on 25th of August at the Summer Congress of the Association of the City Head Gardeners held in the City of Oulu, Northern Finland.

The Award has been growing successfully in Finland for the past 6 years, and even better since the Finnish Association of Landscape Industries: Viherympäristöliitto ry (VYL) took over it's management in Finland in 2019.
HEIDI OVASKA - GREEN FLAG AWARD CO-ORDINATOR FOR VYL SAID:
”Another great year with the Green Flag Award in Finland! New record of having 12 green spaces winning the award shows that many years of hard work is paying off and every year more green spaces are getting involved. Above all, for the first time, we had a cemetery as an applicant, which proves that besides city parks, GFA is spreading to other green space areas as well. Its time to celebrate the winners!”
