Nominations are now open for the Green Flag Award's International Best of the Best awards!
The Green Flag Award International Best of the Best awards are designed to celebrate and promote positive achievements in the parks sector during the 2025-26 award cycle.
How to Enter
There are two seperate forms split into People and Projects - with multiple categories within them. Nominations must be related to work at, or in support of a Green Flag Award winning site.

The deadline for submission of nominations is 31st January 2026. Winners will be announced in February 2026
Categories
You can nominate your park, a colleague, or a project in any of the following categories:
People
- Employee of the Year
- Team of the Year (Park staff)
- Volunteer of the Year
- Volunteer Team of the Year
- Young Volunteer of the Year (under 18 on 1st January 2026)
- Outstanding Contribution by an Elected Politician (Mayor, Councillor, Cabinet Member, Alderman etc.)
Projects
- Best Climate Adaptation Project
- Best Health Initiative
- Best Initiative to engage and increase use of parks by women and girls
- Best Habitat / Biodiversity Project
- Best Promotion of Heritage Value

*Please note - the international Best of the Best awards are not open to UK applicants. A seperate award nomination process was conducted for UK only in November 2025.
