Thank you to the thousands who got involved in this year's #LoveParks.
Thank you for getting out and enjoying your local space. And thank you for sharing why you love your park and how much it means to you. Environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy will be using this wave of public support as they launch their Parks Action Plan and campaign to protect parks and green spaces for future generations.
Over the campaign week we received over 8,400 mentions on Twitter and thousands more on Instagram and Facebook. Through your messages, posts, photos and videos the campaign reached millions of people - proving how much parks mean to everyone.
And finally thank you to all the Local Authorities, park managers and community groups, who ran events, spread the word about the campaign and work so tirelessly everyday protecting and improving local green spaces.
The campaign may be over for this year, but we will continue campaigning for and working to support parks and green spaces. And remember your local green space is there for you to enjoy year round, for the thousands of reasons people shared this #LoveParks Week.
