Queens Park Gardens

The gardens located in the north west of the city near to the Harrow Road were created in 1976 as a green oasis in a built up urban environment and a community asset. The garden forms part of the Queens Park Conservation area which is made up of houses built by the artisans that were to live in them. The gardens consist of a playground, multi use sports pitch, rose garden and a dog exercise area as well as grass areas and shrub plantings. The gardens provide a much used and appreciated amenity for the local residents who take a keen interest through the recently formed friends group.
