Barnford Park Oldbury

Barnford Hill Park is locally called Barnford Park and is the Town Park for Oldbury. Comprising of open areas of grass within a formal mature tree structure of linear avenues and small groups. There are 4 football pitches, a cricket square, Multi Use Games Area,formal and informal natural children's play area, rose gardens, formal shrub beds along the main drive and an ornate pergola, along with a new pavilion, a maze, skate/bike track and gym equipment. There is a "site of local importance for nature conservation" due to the alpine plants it supports. The park has an active Friends group who organise events and activities, and play group who use the pavilion. There is a network of liniar walks that enable visitors to walk around the park. Since 2007 there has been significant capital investment and regeneration of key areas.
