Paddington Recreation Ground

It is worth noting that Paddington Recreation ground is noted as the earliest public athletic ground of its kind in Londo (Crowe 1987). The Grounds main attraction is still primarily recreation and as the City Councils largest area of parkland, it attracts users who visit the Grounds for its green-space value. Secondly, many people use the Ground for its sport and leisure facilities, which are unrivalled in that part of the City. The Ground is recognised as a Site of Local Importance for nature conservation. Westminster and other organisations have reaffirmed their commitment with a major investment programme which commenced in 2006 and are scheduled to take place over the next few years.
