Southern Necropolis

Friends of Southern Necropolis strive to preserve and promote the many historical, educational and environmental assets of the Southern Necropolis cemetery, in the Gorbals area of Glasgow. The cemetery is a unique window on time to the rich historical past of Glasgow, and stands as a special green space for the community and visitors alike. We carry out regular weekly Meet / Greet Litter Picks, Enhancement Projects. Yearly we deliver our Easter Egg/History Hunt, 10k Health Walk, Summer Solstice Yoga Session, Halloween Walk, Always & Forever (Absent Friends) event, Remembrance Sunday Poppy Walk and monthly Tour Talk & Cuppa session and Gruffalo Trail throughout the cemetery and more recently additional Sunday Woman`s Walking Group and Men`s Meetup Meander sessions.
