Shanganagh Park

Shanganagh Park is currently identified as a 'Gateway Park' within the County's Green Infrastructure Strategy. The Park consists of c.36ha of active and passive recreational green space offering football pitches, walking routes, play facilities and a dog park together with extensive areas of tree planting.
The park is characterised by its unique geographical location situated along the coast while also adjacent to the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains. Located on the south-eastern edge of the county it is surrounded by extensive greenbelt lands.

The present day public park occupies a portion of the original pleasure grounds of the original Shanganagh Estate and agricultural paddocks adjacent to the Castle. The completion of the park masterplan marks an exciting period in the parks future development.
