Whitelee Windfarm

Whitelee Windfarm, developed and operated by ScottishPower Renewables, is the largest onshore windfarm in the UK.

Located on Eaglesham Moor to the south of Glasgow, Whitelee Windfarm and Visitor Centre has become a highly popular destination for families looking for fresh air on a day out, dog walkers enjoying a slice of peace and quiet as well as cyclists and horse riders exploring the dedicated network of tracks and trails.

Whitelee Windfarm Visitor Centre is host to an interactive exhibition area, cafe, shower facilities, a bike shed, free car parking including solar charging for four electric vehicles. Through a programme developed by Glasgow Science Centre, the Visitor Centre also serves as an education hub, inspiring future generations to harness the power of renewable energy.
