Bowring Park
Bowring Park is a well-loved park in the residential area of Wellington, it was developed on land bequeathed in 1910 by Ann Bowring on the south-western outskirts of Wellington. The site for the Park was opposite her home, Bradleymoor House’.
Bowring Park was originally laid out in the 1920’s with the layout changing considerably over the years with many land use changes and additions. The main changes have been based around the introduction of new buildings and facilities over recent years. The most interesting features that are retained are the gates and formal entrance, the cafe, bowling greens and tennis courts.
