Knockcushan Gardens
The South Ayrshire Council held Knockcushan Gardens sit behind the former historic Town House near to Girvan Harbour. The gardens contain the old ‘Hill of Justice’ stone and a plaque recording that King Robert the Bruce, Earl of Carrick, held court here in 1328. Although small, the gardens have a pond, a recently upgraded aviary and boast colourful formal flower beds during spring and summer. The garden is accessible for prams and wheelchairs and seating is available for its visitors to enjoy a contemplative break. Next door is Girvan Community garden which is a busy and vibrant community project which runs events and activities for all ages, interests and abilities.
