Beggarwood Park
Beggarwood Park is a 23ha Local Nature Reserve situated in the south west of Basingstoke. It’s a picturesque green space featuring a community café, toddler and junior play area, pump track, fitness trail, timber wild zone and amphitheatre, all linked by a good footpath network and wild walks, making it great fun for all ages. There are great links to a wide network of pedestrian and cycle routes that extend beyond the site, making it an ideal place to begin an adventureous day out.
The Park hosts a mix of ancient woodland, chalk grassland and native scrub that between them support a number of priority species such as the adorable but secretive Hazel Dormouse and the nationally vulnerable Small Blue butterfly.
