Roe Green Walled Garden

Roe Green Walled Garden is a green oasis in our busy world - a welcoming place to relax, have a picnic, watch wildlife, admire the flowers, or especially for children to have fun, find frogs, newts and spiders. The garden is organic. It is home to many birds, mammals and insects, thanks to shelters made for them from re-cycled materials. Tucked away in a corner we have two bee hives. One of our hedges has been trimmed using the ancient craft of 'hedge laying'. In addition we have a stumpery created from discarded logs on an empty area at the back of the workshop. The workshop is in a victorian building which has many of the original features. We also have compost bins, a wormery, an original victorian goldfish pond and mistletoe grafted onto an apple tree. And if you want to purchase books or bric a brac this is on sale at the garden at very reasonable prices. Perhaps you would like to join us pottering around the garden. Join us - it's like a green gym. Everybody is welcome. Contact us on 020 8206 0492 or visit www.barnhillconservationgoup.org.
