Sandwell Valley Country Park
Open throughout the year, Sandwell Valley Country Park is in the heart of the West Midlands and just one mile from West Bromwich town centre. As well as one working farm visitor centres are nature areas, an adventure playground, an RSPB Visitor Centre, woodland, meadows, farmland. Leisure facilities include an adventure centre with cycle hire, access routes for walking, cycling and horse riding, foot golf, crazy golf, tennis courts and showground. There is ample parking at all of the facilities, most of which have toilets. Historic features range from Priory Ruins, the Sand Well, a Ha-Ha, an Ice House, Burnt Mounds and remnants of coal mining. Sandwell Park Farm was a restored Victorian farm with an historic farmyard. As a result of the pandemic, the animals were moved to our other farm, Forge Mill Farm. The site also consists of a Walled Kitchen Garden, Tea Rooms and gift shops. Forge Mill Farm includes a farm shop, small animal area, a farm trail, children's playground and vending area. The farm is home to a herd of native Hereford cattle which can be seen grazing throughout the Country Park. The Country Park provides a programme of events including conservation volunteering and weekly health walks. The RSPB Nature Centre provides a further gateway to the Country Park, with a visitor centre, a bird hide and car parking. Sandwell Valley Country Park guarantees to provide a great day out in the country for all the family!
